Avistrum Academy of Sorcery

When we last visited Tales from Avistrum...
Last year, the students discovered a powerful device called the Conveyance Chamber that allowed them to travel back in time. They went on a mission to retrieve an old artifact last seen in the late 1800's at Avistrum. This artifact was crucial to restoring the Parador portion of the Founder's Fountain, which was destroyed in the Battle of Avistrum. The dangers of time-travel were made apparent when they inadvertently altered the course of history by accidentally preventing the death of Aleator Boudreaux. They returned to a world where Simon Drake had become the President Eternal of the Most Noble Nation of Magic. Polonius Aberfoyle and Scorpio Douglas had both been killed. Their headmaster, Clark Dowling was now Drake's most feared weapon, the powerful Archmage.

Avistrum Academy was a dark place, ruled under Drake and the iron fist of Headmistress Persephone.
A prophecy foretold that Polonius would return and upon that day, Drake's regime would fall.
The time-traveler's arrival sparked a renewed spirit for the Resistance lead by Amelia Emberwing and Savvi Kayen. A rebellion that had been building in Avistrum Castle for some time, dedicated to freeing Avistrum.

By joining forces with the Resistance , the students were able to activate the Conveyance Chamber, travel back in time and set things right. Upon coming back to the future, the students found a familiar place where all was well.
Or... so it seems.
Traveling through time caused a ripple-effect, but as of yet, only small differences have been noticed.

Now, a curse is emerging from the shadows and it will threaten all that reside within Avistrum Castle.
What is this curse and is it a consequence of time-travel?
Or were the wheels of destiny always in motion and a terrible fate is inevitable?
